Lock your windows, lock your doors You're not going out there no more Call your friends up on the phone Time to learn to dance alone Lose your job and lose your rent Now you've gotta trust the government Take some time to make some art If you can figure out just where to start Quarantine, do the quarantine Live your life inside a screen, everybody do the quarantine Live your life inside a screen, everybody do the quarantine Live your life inside a screen, everybody do the quarantine Live your life inside a screen, everybody do the quarantine Quarantine, do the quarantine I don't know what to do with myself (With myself) I wish I could touch somebody else (Somebody else) Every morning feels the same Wonder if you'll ever work again Waiting on the scientists You don't even know what time it is Minds to teach and mouths to feed Hope you stocked up on what you need Now or never, do or die People of the world, just stay inside Quarantine, do the quarantine Live your life inside a screen, everybody do the quarantine Live your life inside a screen, everybody do the quarantine Live your life inside a screen, everybody do the quarantine Live your life inside a screen, everybody do the quarantine Quarantine, do the quarantine I don't know what to do with myself (With myself) I wish I could touch somebody else (Somebody else) Oh, people of the world (Quarantine, do the quarantine) Yeah, people of the world (Quarantine, do the quarantine) People of the world (Quarantine, do the quarantine) Oh, people of the world (Quarantine, do the quarantine)

Everybody went to the grocery store The day they said we couldn't shop no more Everybody bought their bread and booze And went home to watch the news Everybody took some time to think  About what they would do if they were on the brink Bought a lot of masks and some rubber gloves And called up the ones they love Everybody tried their best As we waited for the test But waiting isn’t easy No, waiting isn't easy at all Everybody listened to the president  Say a lot of things he wasn’t sure he meant  Everybody tried to check the facts But the news doesn't work like that Everybody checked their Facebook feed The day they said we weren't allowed to leave Everybody cried in their dreams at night And held their little babies tight Everybody tried their best As we waited for the test But waiting isn’t easy No, waiting isn't easy at all Waiting isn’t easy No, waiting isn't easy at all

about

In tough times like these, it's vital that we work together to be safe, smart, informed, and compassionate. But that doesn't mean we can't dance, right??

These songs were both written a week or two into quarantine, when I realized that my mind gets pretty loud when my world gets quiet. I had the pleasure of recording and producing everything in my home studio (office), and took the opportunity to film and edit Didi Fever's first-ever music video, which you can check out here: youtu.be/5mMzC8vL5to

Thank you so much to everyone who danced in the Do The Quarantine video, everyone who encouraged me to make art in times of crisis, and my husband, for being patient as I turned our apartment into a movie set.

Half of all proceeds from Bandcamp sales for this album will be donated to Feeding America. Feeding America is a nonprofit organization that is a nationwide network of more than 200 food banks that feed more than 46 million people through food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other community-based agencies. Feeding America also has a Covid-19 Response Fund that is helping to ensure food banks across the country can feed those in need right now, including the children who rely on school meals to eat.

Thank you for supporting the arts during these difficult times. And when in doubt, do the quarantine!
